At Kitty Hawk Sports, we offer the widest selection of nature
eco-tours in the Outer Banks. All tours are led by our skilled
naturalist guides, well-versed in the flora, fauna and local
lore of the Outer Banks.

| WIND & RAIN:
All of our eco-tours & activities are held in an outdoor
setting which is subject to sun, wind, rain and insects, etc.
Except for extreme conditions (Thunder/ lightning, heavy winds)
these activities will be held rain or shine. Please come prepared.
We do run tours in the rain!
THINGS TO BRING ALONG ON YOUR ECO-TOUR:
Drinking water, sunscreen, clothes that can and probably
will get wet and dirty but will dry quickly, shoes or sandals
(strap type) that you don't mind getting wet. Footwear must
be worn at all times during your tour.
OPTIONAL:
Insect repellent, hat, sunglasses, snacks, binoculars, camera
w/waterproof container, towel, extra dry clothes

Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge Tour - Available
all year
This
eco-tour takes you to one of the most pristine areas on the
Outer Banks. Home to alligators, black bear, bobcats, red
wolves, and so much more. Explore the waterways surrounding a
once thriving lumber town and moonshine outpost. Discover flora
and fauna unique to this area. Truly out of the ordinary. A
camera is a must. 3 hrs. $50 per person ($25 for children
12 and under who share a double boat with adult)

Dolphin Marsh Tour - Available June through September
Join us as we paddle along lush salt marsh creeks off Roanoke
Island. We are always keeping a keen eye out for dolphin feeding
on schools of bait fish in the surrounding waters. A perfect
tour for all ages. 2 hrs. $39 per person ($25 for children 12
and under who share a double boat with adult)

Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge Tour - Available June
through September
Pea
Island is home to an amazing variety of bird and animal life.
Let your guide lead you through the clear shallow salt marsh in
search of the local inhabitants. Bring binoculars for a closer
look. 2 hrs. $45 per person ($25 for children 12 and

Roanoke Island Tour - Tours By Request Only
This eco-tour starts in Manteo and winds through the marsh
lands surrounding this 1st English colony. Your guide will share
with you the events leading up to their disappearance as you
explore these wetlands. This tour is unique to our area and
enjoyable for the whole family. 2 hrs. $35 per person ($25 for
children 12 and under who share a double boat with adult)

Kitty Hawk Woods Maritime Forest Wildlife Tour - Available
all year
This is one of our most popular eco-tours. It departs from
our kayak center in Kitty Hawk. The maritime forest is home
to an astonishing assortment of wildlife including otter, nutria,
deer, egrets, herons, reptiles and much more. Protected from
wind and waves, this tour is perfect for beginners. Discover
an authentic covered bridge deep in the woods & accessible
only from the water. 2 hrs. $39 per person ($25 for children
12 and under who share a double boat with adult)

Corolla Marsh Tour - Available June through August
Looking for something for the whole family to do? Join us for
a morning paddle or at sunset as we explore the northern beaches
from the seat of your kayak. Learn local folklore and history
as your guide leads the way around Sanders Bay. Marsh wildlife
often seen includes river otters, egret, osprey and other waterfowl.
Great wet, fun on a hot day. 2 hrs. $45 per person ($19 for
children 12 and under who share a double boat with adult)

Sunset Tour (Corolla & Pea Island) - Available June through
August
Simply no better way to wind up your day on the Outer Banks
that gliding along the sound at sunset in a kayak. View sunset
over the water as your guide entertains you with local myths,
historical events and wildlife interpretation. Both locations
dependent on weather/wind. 2 hrs. $49 per person ($25 for children
12 and under who share a double boat with adult)

Full Moon Tours - Available June through October
No experience even comes close to being on the water during
a full moon. Tours for the 2007 season will take place nightly
